Webster defines "Luck" that which happens to a person; an event, good or ill, affecting one's interests or happiness, and which is deemed casual; a course or series of such events regarded as occurring by chance; chance; hap; fate; fortune; often, one's habitual or characteristic fortune; as, good, bad, ill, or hard luck. Luck is often used by itself to mean good luck; as, luck is better than skill; a stroke of luck.
In an event of my life, I was told by friends, and even my family that I am showered with luck. I know that I am not the only one who experience this kind of phenomenon in their life and there are others out there too. Char! Parang superpowers lang. When did it all started?
Is it really what so called luck?
Here are my stories:
2014. It started when an advertising site Dreamgiver.ph give an amazing prizes such as iPhone, that for every share, accumulated points in each correct answer to their quiz and a referral. They give Digi-codes for a bonus points. Collected points can be exchange to a raffle entry for different prizes. I was attracted that it's a freaking iPhone to win like hella I can't afford to buy one but I need one to take great photos. My digital camera is old that everything goes blur. I know it's a risk to enter a site like this because you need to give your personal information and that's I really don't like at all but then ended up I signing to them.
It was December 22, 2013 when I first saw their ad on facebook that they are giving iPhone 5c from 5000 points (I forgot the required points) to 1 raffle entry. It was really impossible to get 5000 points even you get started from their launching date just for four months. I started to get points and tried to enter the raffle entry and the site always crashed. I knew that it can't be processed because my points is not enough. I tried many times but but I got the same page and gave up. I keep collecting points for future raffle entries. It was January that they announced the winner for December 2013 batch and because of what happened I am not expecting to win anything. But then I am curious of the winners so when I open their page and what I saw is my name for iPhone 5c winner. Like is this legit? I think we are just the same name. I opened my profile and check if I have the same registration number with the winner and hola~ I even read it one by one to confirm. That was the time I realized that I won that iPhone 5c. The rest is history.
2015. When I won pair of round trip tickets to Japan Photo Contest of Cebu Pacific, a low-cost airline in Philippines. The contest is called JaFuntastic Duo. You portray a Japanese culture in your photo with a partner. It was their promotional contest for their new route, a direct flight from Cebu to Narita. It was a tight contest because there are many entries who are really kakoi~! I am a fan of anime and I read manga also, so I think this is a way for me to visit my top dream destination. I got rejected by some of my friends to join with me in this contest and I am very thankful to Manang Diannara that she volunteered to join a photo with me. It was a hard time looking for a costume like kimono so the only option that we have is to be a school girl, since we are still in college, our uniform come handy hahaha. We borrowed skirt from a friend who cosplay and my Manga as props.
Announcing the winners is the crucial part, this is the part that I always feel down. Thinking that I didn't make it and I should've done more. But no, it's not because I saw my name on the list of the winners and I am just happy. The ticket is ready but not my pocket hahaha. We only have 6 months from the date of the announcement to fly and unexpectedly I didn't make it. I knew it was a sign that I should've go to Japan but things went wrong that I need to sacrifice leisure to my daily needs. My partner is not also prepared for the requirements and so of my friends. I decided to transfer it to someone that has already a visa so it can be use. Then I realized that somehow I need to try travelling alone to make things go as I it should be. There'll be more fun adventures to come and I know it will be according to the flow of time.

I am in shock that a tag notification popped in my phone the morning of the announcement. I rapidly registered to a surf promo to confirm and checked out my instagram account. I did not saw the photo at first but I was tagged ( milkahandrea ) as one of the lucky winners. I can't imagine how happy I was when I saw the post. Due to some reasons, I wasn't able to redeem the price.
I know there are some point of time that we asked ourselves if luck can come to us when we need it the most. In my case, I just let it flow. If it's for me then I'll be glad to accept it.
