First Time: 4D3N Hong Kong & Macau Solo Budget Itinerary

After 3 attempts I can finally visit my childhood dream. This is my first time in Hong Kong.
Here's my Budget Itinerary during my travel in Hong Kong & Macau last Nov. 27-30, 2017.
Four days isn't enough to explore Hong Kong, but it's worth a try.

4D3N ITINERARY (SOLO)

Nov. 27-30, 2017

Day 1: Cultural Centre, RESIDENTIAL ESTATES, MONG KOK

08:00 pm – ETD: Iloilo International Airport via Van in SM City Iloilo
09:00 pm – Check in, Pass through immigration
01:55 am – ETA: HKIA via CebPac
02:00 am – Pass through immigration
(The immigration hold me for almost 30mins and checked all documents. I prepared before hand all necessary documents so better to print all your tickets & accommodation. The Officer also asked me how much money I have in my wallet. I didn't bring that much because I got all my tickets booked online. I have 10pages of tickets to support my travel. Lol)
03:00 am – Find Sleeping lounge. Slept in a long chair that was near Klook Counter.
06:30 am – Wake up
07:30 am – Redeem Octopus Card @ Hong Kong International Airport Arrivals Area Counter A13
08:00 am – transport to Shek Kip Mei Station (59mins) 
(AEL>interchanged Tsing Yi>interchanged Lai King> SSP
09:30 am – Nam Shan Estate (7mins walk from Shek Kip Mei Estate)
11:30 am – Transport to MongKok
12:10 nn –Find Street Foods in MongKok
Egg waffle (Lee Keung Kee North Point Eggette) > Australian Dairy Company (5mins wak from Lee Keung Kee) > Temple Street Archway (3mins walk from ADC) > Pass Café de Coral > soft serve, egg sandwich, (Sham Tseng Chan Kee Roasted Goose / Kam Wah Café, Pineapple buns/ Find Capital Café) > MidoCafé (63 Temple Yau Ma Tei exit C closed on Wed) >
03:30 pm – The Jockey Club Innovation Tower (via taxi or Hung Hom Station) (Optional)
04:50 pm – Check in Hostel @ Mahjong Hostel
04:50 pm – Transport to TST, HK Cultural Centre
06:00 pm – Dinner
08:00 pm – Back to Hostel
11:00 pm – Sleep
  
Day 2: CENTRAL, RESIDENTIAL ESTATES, CAFÉ

06:00 am – Wake up // Get pics of Hostel
07:30 am – Early check-out // Breakfast at Lala Restaurant just below Mahjong Hostel
08:30 am – transport to Choi Hung Estate 
09:00 am – Choi Hung Estate (Choi Hung MTR Exit C4), Ping Shek Estate
Pass by Chi Lin Nunnery & Nan Lian Garden
09:45 am – Transport to Quarry Bay from Choi Hung Estate
10:10 am – Quarry Bay
02:00 pm – Lunch & Check in Hostel ( TianJin Hostel )
03:00 pm – Meet-up with a Family friend at Central & Lunch @ Café de Coral
04:30 pm – Graham St.
07:00 pm – Dinner @ Noc Café
09:30 pm – Pass by Oddies Foodies (4min. walk from Noc Cafe)
10:30 pm – Back to Hostel
11:00 pm – Sleep ( Actually I haven't slept on this night because of GetGo Piso Sale. Got to get a dib for one way only and paid in HK)


Day 3: DISNEYLAND
06:00 am – Wake up
07:00 am – Breakfast @ Tsui Wah Restaurant (Across TianJin Hostel Bldg.)
08:00 am – Back to World Wide House in Central to pay Piso Fare I grabbed
09:00 am – Transport to Disneyland
09:30 am – Disneyland Hong Kong
08:00 pm – Disneyland Fireworks Show
09:00 pm – Ride MTR from Disneyland Resort station to Tung Chung Station (Tung Chung Line) — HKD14.3 fare per adult (Octopus card). Interchange at Sunny Bay Platform 1 (Tung Chung Line) towards Hong Kong. 15 to 20 minutes estimated travel time.Claim luggage at Citygate Outlet lockers service.Ride MTR from Tung Chung Station to MTR station nearest to your hotel.
Tung Chung > Change line to Lai King > Change Line to Admirality > Causeway Bay
10:00 pm – Back to Hostel
11:00 pm – Sleep

Day 4: MACAU
06:00 am – Early checkout Hotel
06:30 am – Breakfast 
07:00 am – ETD: Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal
08:30 am – ETA: Cotai Ferry Terminal (or Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal)
11:00 am – The Venetian (Free ride from the port. I was the only passenger at that time, feels like I reserved the Big Bus.)
02:00 pm – St. Paul Ruins (I lost my way and asked for directions from the Guards and I was even accompanied by a kababayan.)
03:00 pm – Back to Venetian, Parisian and nearby Galaxy
05:30 pm – Transport to Airport (50mins by Bus // 15 mins by taxi) (I ride the free airport shuttle from The Venetian)
08:15 pm – ETD: Macau Airport via Airasia (Better to check-in online for faster transaction at the airport)
10:15 pm – ETA: NAIA Terminal 3
12:00 am – Eat midnight snack / dinner at Wendy's and explore NAIA Terminal after. Sleep while you can
02:00 am – Transfer to Terminal 4 for domestic flight via free shuttle bus
04:30 am – Flight MNL – ILO via PAL
05:30 am – Home

                   If you need just a place to stay your night, Hostels are already good since you are out during the the day. I booked through Agoda because I find it cheaper there than other travel apps. You can also use Agoda PointMax. There is a service fee since I used GetGo Visa Card to pay for the remaining 2 Nights.

You can get promo fares during Piso Fare of CebuPac or Promo fares of Airasia ahead of time. I decided to book PAL for MNL-ILO because it's the cheapest seat I can get last Oct. 19-20. Five days later, Airasia and CebPac has seat sale that you can get MNL-ILO for 1499 on CebuPac. I think on the brighter side that PAL has 10kg baggage allowance for pasalubongs.

                    If you plan 3 months ahead, you can save up for your pocket money. Exchange rate may vary so take note of the rate when you exchange your bills. I bought 130 USD and exchange at the HKIA 100USD then find cheaper ones at MongKok for the remaining 30 USD. This is hellava expensive trip for me.

  • Medicine - if you have sensitive stomach like mine, and gets to eat different food for the next three hours, I probably get bloated.
  • Tissue Paper - they run out of tissue paper
  • Tumbler - you need to be hydrated all throughout your journey
  • Umbrella - we don't know the weather so it's better to be ready
  • Comfy shoes & outfit
